WEIGHT-LOSS & SUSTENANCE

All food can be broken down into 3 main macro nutrients - carbohydrates, proteins, and fats.

​

Carbohydrates: gets converted to glucose, which in turn gives us energy.

Proteins: helps with muscular development based on the body mass and physical activity, and the rest too gets converted into glucose eventually

Fats: no immediate effect on the glucose levels, and can go straight into fat reserves if consumption levels and physical activity levels are not in balance.

The interplay of the ratios and proportions of these 3 components in our food is what makes either stay in shape or get out of shape, literally. Depending on which of these 3 components is your main fuel source, your body can either be reeling from chronic inflammation and brain fog among other things, to functioning like being on an endless supply of gatorade. Only, the gatorade in this case will be internal, created by your own body - and make you feel light, agile, and sharp as a tack.

Some of the symptoms you could be experiencing / habits you could be practicing:

  • Chronic fatigue

  • Bloated

  • Gassy

  • Inflammation pains

  • Water retention

  • Brain fog

  • Reaching out for (junk) food for short-term fueling

  • Binge-eating

Madhuri has personally coached many people on weight-loss with excellent results.

 

About seventeen years ago, Madhuri had developed chronic diabetes as a result of high stress levels. She was also combating excessive weight gain from hypothyroidism - this stemmed from her supressing and stifling her freedom of expression. Things were reeling out of her control. She had even gone into hyperglycemic coma twice, and luckily returned with zero organ damage both times. After several failed attempts to fix things, what eventually worked for Madhuri are a complete radical shift in her food habits which led to a lifestyle change, and also embracing Meditation and Mindfulness to help her combat the underlying stress. 

​

Nearly a decade ago, Madhuri knocked off 35 kilos, completely reversed her diabetes, and brought her thyroid levels back into balance, and she now continues to live in this sustained state even today. She went on to shock her doctors with this power move, since they were suggesting Bariatric Surgery as an ultimatum, to help her overcome all the health issues she was continuously facing. However, she managed to take back control without having to go under the knife, and only with making conscious lifestyle changes.
