CRYSTAL CARE

DOs:

Wear all Crystal Bracelets on your Left wrist, since we receive energies from the left side of the body (feminine side), and give energies from the right side of the body (masculine side).
Please remove your crystal wearables while sleeping, bathing, working in the kitchen, or while working in water and any other messy environments (gardening, pottery, painting, etc.).
Preferably place your crystals in another room overnight (specially, high energy crystals like Pyrite) so you do not end up getting over-stimulated and have trouble sleeping.
If the elastic of your bracelet snaps, you can always get some elastic string from your neighborhood Craft Store, and re-string your bracelet. If any beads crack, thank them for their service to you and return them to the earth. Easiest way is to put them into any plant pots that you may have, or put them in a corner of a garden space. Beads that are intact can always be reused. Please remember to cleanse and energise the bracelet after restringing, before you wear it again.
If your crystal tumble falls down and breaks, it means it has borne the brunt of some negative energy and protected you in turn. Thank the crystal for its service to you, and return to the earth as explained above.
Please care for your crystals well. These precious gifts from Mother Earth are living beings with consciousness and memory. Yes, you read that right! The more you treat them like a loving friend, the more you will benefit from your connection with them!

DON'Ts:

Do not keep your crystals in your pockets. They will end up over-stimulating your sexual organs, and we do not want that! Safe way to tune into the energy of crystals is to wear them as bracelets. If not, most crystals can go under your pillow when you are sleeping (refrain from putting high energy crystals like Pyrite under the pillow). It is also okay to carry your crystals in a cotton fabric pouch in your handbag or backpack.
DO NOT WASH your crystal under running water or with salt water. Do not keep them dipped in salt water / moon water / sun water or any other "energised water" either. Not all crystals are water friendly, and you could unknowingly end up damaging your crystal. Some crystals which are hydrophobic (not water-friendly) release poisonous gases when exposed to water (eg: Malachite). Some crystals even completely dissolve in water (eg: Selenite). General rule of thumb - all crystals whose names end with -ITE are NOT water friendly. Usually these crystals have a high iron content, and we know what happens when iron is exposed to water. A lot of commercial crystal sellers nowadays are recommending that you cleanse your crystals in salt water after you buy crystals from them. Please DO NOT do that. Unfortunately, not every Crystal seller in the market nowadays is aware of the nuances of crystal care. Beware of such sellers who are not well educated about their products, and just running a business for the moolah.
Do not keep your crystals under the sun for cleansing / energizing - your crystals will fade and lose colour over time. No one wants a faded crystal, just like we would not wear faded clothes.
Do not keep your crystals under the full moon either. As much as those are beautiful energies, there are other unseen energies that are highly rampant on full moon days. Not everyone can perceive energies, so it is best to avoid accidental exposure to unwanted energies.
Do not wait for "special days" like new moon / full moon to cleanse and energize your crystals. A lot of new-age healers are over-hyping these practices. Just follow a disciplined schedule of your own, and your crystal will love you for it!
Much as some products are doing the rounds in the market, please DO NOT wear high energy crystals like Pyrite in the form of a pendant. It will end up over-stimulating your heart (the organ), and that could possibly lead to some undesirable effects of the heart. Not all crystals are safe to go over the heart. Please exercise extreme caution and wear only gentle crystals over heart. Crystals like Amethyst, Rose Quartz, Black Tourmaline, Green Aventurine, Tiger's Eye, Lapis Lazuli are safe to wear in the form of pendants.
Do not share your crystals and crystal wearables with anyone else, including your family and friends, no matter how much you love the person. Crystals form a very intimate and sacred connection with you once they are yours, and this cannot be shared with anyone else. If you wish to gift a crystal to a loved one, please buy them separately and gift them. Do not remove your crystal and give it away to a loved one as an act of love.
Do not allow anyone to touch your crystals either. If this happens by accident, please cleanse and re-energize your crystals immediately. This is very important since crystals have memory, and they will start interacting and absorbing the other person's energies (good and bad) immediately, which we do not want. If they wish to wear crystals too, they should get their own.

OUR FOOL-PROOF 6-STEP CLEANSING & ENERGIZING PROCESS:

Please follow this 6-step Cleansing & Energizing Process as explained below, for all your crystals, to ensure a long life. These steps can be followed once every week to keep your crystals vibrating at a high frequency at all times, and in turn doing the work for you!

Wipe the crystal with a clean, dry cloth. If you are looking to clean the jagged surface of a geode, use a new and clean wide paintbrush to get the dust off the crevices.
Ring a bell over the crystal for a few seconds. This loosens the energy around it, and opens up dense energies, if any.
Light a stick of Palo Santo or a couple of Incense Sticks of good quality. Hold the stick/s in your left hand, and your crystal in your right hand. Ensure the smoke runs all around the crystal / crystal product / crystal wearable, on all sides. Ensure the smoke does not come onto your body or face after it has run over your crystal. This is the safest method to cleanse any crystal since this not damage the crystal.
After this, set your crystal aside in a clean place and wash your hands thoroughly with salt water and soap. This is to ensure no remnant dirty/sticky energies that were released from your crystal are sticking to your hands. Your palms and fingers have important chakras, and it is pertinent to keep them energetically clean.
Intention Setting: With clean and dry hands, hold your cleansed crystal / crystal product / crystal wearable in your hands and speak to it. Declare your intentions with it. It is there to help you. Always remember to speak to it using positive words and affirmations since words carry vibrations and energy too! For example, say "Dear Crystal, please help to bring more positive energy into my life", instead of saying "Crystal, please don't bring negative energy into my life". Both mean the same thing. Well, almost. However, the words used would send out radically different energies into the Cosmos, and bring back similar energies in turn (remember, like attracts like!). Choose your words carefully, and more importantly, remember to have fun along your journey!
Now place your crystal / crystal product / crystal wearable on the Purple Card that you received at the time of purchasing your crystal from us, to energize and infuse your crystal with positive energies. Leave it on the Purple Card overnight, or for 12 hours.

If you are already using a Selenite bowl/plate to cleanse your crystals, do keep these in mind:

Though Selenite is a self-cleansing crystal, it will tend to get saturated with dirty energies from your other crystals over a period of time. Eventually, your Selenite bowl/plate would need cleansing too. Please remember that Selenite dissolves in water, so never wash your Selenite bowl/plate in water. Use sound and smoke from palo santo/incense to cleanse it (as outlined above).
Contrary to popular belief, Selenite will only cleanse, and it will not energize. If you are using Selenite to cleanse, you will still need to energize your crystal after. You could follow the energizing process recommended above (intention setting + using the Purple Card you get when you purchase crystals from us).

The above two reasons are why we would ideally recommend to cleanse your crystals with sound and smoke from palo santo/incense. It is so much easier and quicker too!
